I am aware of many S scale vehicles.... I have not seen that one. Seems unlikely that it really is S scale. Perhaps it is 1:43 scale????? It certainly is legitimate to write to the seller and ask why he says it S scale. Ask him the width of the truck or trailer. It should be about 8 scale feet wide (1-1/2"). The more it deviates from this width, the more it deviates from S scale. If you have a toy train oriented hobby shop to visit, show them the picture, see if they recognize it.
