I have been working on a new set of passenger cars and they just got out of the paint shop today...there is still lot to do but they are close,,,,the interiors are almost all done and the undercarrage fittings are in place,,they are still awaiting trucks and couplers..i have included a link to the photosso i dont fill up the archives on the list http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/krborst/album?.dir=/38ea
Note that there are no commercial parts,,,i have milled everything in my shop including the seats and the steps.....If you are a rivit counter you will be disappointed but i made them up to run,,,and i dont think the lack of some details will be noticed,, They are all layered cardstock (4 layers) and milled pine for the roofs and floors,,,,all the interiors are carpeted and have wall paneling and wall paper with paintings and route maps in the lounge car..i will post more photos at a later date....I will be posting 3 more cars of earlier vintage this next week.,,The plans were gotten out of Model Railraoder and Prototype Modeler....from various issues dating from 1949...There are a few more that are in the works..i.e. printed and ready to start cutting. I would, at this time, like to ask if anyone has 4 wheel trucks (3 pair)6 wheel trucks (6 pair) that I could either buy or trade for.....I do have some reprints for car sides.. and other items that may be of interest...let me know thru email Thank you Kenn Borst To REPLY to the list, use REPLY ALL; to reply to the sender, use REPLY.
