Nope Bill, it is neither of those "excuses" for me: eyes don't perform the
way they used to. It is easier to read a computer screen than be constantly
fiddling with close-up glasses. And that leads partly to my second excuse:
patience. As a youngin' I never could understand why my grandpappy no longer
wanted to work on intricate, detailed models as he got older. Now I
understand that he just ran out of patience.
As far as my particular skills go, while I was never in the master modeler
category, after fifty years of building, I am probably about as good as I'm
going to get.
