The O SCALE WEST +S convention motivated at least one HO GN enthusiast
to take an initial stab at S scale with an SHS ore car to be used as a

I started work on my ore car.
BTW - this car has the most complete detailing of any ore car I've
ever seen - including HO brass cars. And, for the most part, the sizes
of everything are closer to prototype than is achieved in HO scale.
I'll be 'helping out' at David Parks' run next Sunday for the LD/Op
Sig. By then I should have my S-scale ore car done. Maybe I'll drop by
and let you see it ... or maybe I'll figure out how to get it up on
David's layout and see how long it takes for him to notice the
reversed-forced-perspective ...
