The Crescent City S Gaugers of New Orleans, Louisiana was hit hard
by hurricane Katrina. As a result, half of their modular S layout
was lost. The modular layout is used exclusively to promote S scale
model railroading throughout the Gulf region and has significantly
contributed to the model railroading industry. They have done shows
and exhibitions throughout the South over the years and the public
has always responded very positively. Friends we are asking for your
support to help rebuild their modular layout. Already donations have
been coming in, mostly in the form of basic material. What they
really need at this point is scenery of any kind in 1/64th. A
monetary donation would be greatly appreciated, but they will
understand if you prefer not to use that method of support.
Anything that can be spared to make a good S gauge layout is
needed. Please send what you can. Both the NASG and the Crescent
City S Gaugers will greatly appreciate your support. Please do not
send your donations to Pine Canyon directly. Please contact W.
Allen Evans, 7 Patricia Drive, Covington, LA 70433, phone 985-789-
0488 (Cell). This contact info has been posted with permission from
Allen. We regret that their club coordinator, Jay Mellon, has lost
his home in the flood and his address cannot be used for donations.
Happy Railroading,
Keith Blanchard
