Hi,
Thought I should give our group a report on our "Third Yahoo S Scale List
Seminar."
Our meeting was scheduled for 9:00 PM Wednesday evening ( 7-11-07) in the Fells
Point 1 Room, Best Western Hotel & Convention Center in Baltimore, Md..
While we don't count the number of attendees, I had printed out 58
Commemorative cards and had two left over. Yes, once again, we had a wonderful
turnout.
First up; Was everyone once again introducing themselves. I know previously,
some thought this process should be eliminated, but the group once again wanted
the introductions, we kept it as short as possible and I thought went very well.
Second up; was S Helper Service featuring Don Thompson and Mike Ferraro. Don
took the floor for about at least 45 minutes and talked about SHS future
projects; what was new, what they were not presently going to do, answering
questions, giving the why's and why not's of each question. (I'm sorry to say I
was not taking notes, but am hoping those on the list can give us the details
on SHService's future projects.)
Third up; I gave a brief talk on Brooks Stover's new "Buffalo Creek and Gauley
DVD" and handed out brochures. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Folks, I have the DVD and it
is awesome, done in Brooks Stover's style of doing things.
It is 25 minutes and only $20.00 = $4.00 S&H.
Fourth up; Was Ken Zieska, and his excellent presentation of the Minnesota
Heartland Model Railroad club and its members, their model workmanship. Very
impressive! This group is really into S Scale model railroading and will be
holding our 50th Anniversary NASG Convention.
In conclusion, Hershey Milk Chocolate candy bars were handed out.
Of note; Guest speakers were awarded a bag of the new Hershey Dark Chocolate
Kisses.
A Special "Thank You" to all who helped me get through the meeting.
