And Ed, it's not just that we hi-scalers don't care as much about the nitty gritty details, but for me personally I would rather have a mixed consist. I already have too many cars that look virtually identical from three feet. To me, it is more interesting, either in prototype or on a model train layout to see a hopper, a box, a refer, a stock car, a low side gon, etc., finished off by a caboose that matches the road name of the engine. If there are some PS-1's available at some point, I might buy one, but not before I had also bought a two dome tank car and an open auto carrier (or vise-versa).
Viva la difference! BTW, I have been forwarding messages questioning why Don hasn't done a PS-1, etc., just in case he doesn't monitor the list all day every day. It would be best for Don T. to answer the above question. However, not being shy, my guess is that the typical AF-oriented guy will not see any difference between the PS-1 and the other box car(s) SHS has already produced. Thus, why should SHS make a product that essentially duplicates an existing product -- at least in the eyes of 90% of their customers? Would it not seem logical that something dramatically different (such as a tank car) would sell better than a near duplication of a similar box car?
