My "O" scale "feigns" tell me that the available turnouts in "O"
are junk! The ones that are available need to be reworked. I think
this is true of "HO" as well. This is also given the fact that the
regular HO stuff, Including the brass, is really hirail ?????. They
use the same wheel as "S" scale. What's that all about? Kinda means
their flange is over size by a lot and their tread is way too wide also.
I spent Saturday playing with another S scalers Tomalco track and
the Tomalco turnouts he is building. This stuff is AWESOME!!!!!! I
personally think everyone should learn how to lay their own track.
It's a lot easier than most people think. But then, we are in the
"fast food" world where nobody does anything themselves anymore. But
then that's a lie, They must be able to pay for the stuff!
More of cheap, some of quality, Lots and lots of quantity, makes
for better landfill.
