Although I am not personally involved with modular efforts, it would be 
especially interesting (to me) to see articles about modular display 
layouts (used to promote S scale) that are actually operated instead of 
just running in circles hour after hour.  Some switching, making and 
breaking trains, actually stopping at the station, a turntable (no room 
for a roundhouse is OK), making/breaking diesel lashups, and so forth.  
I do believe there is an opportunity to show S to great advantage when 
compared to HO by doing "real" operating and challenging the smaller 
scales to do likewise.  Just a thought...Ed L.
