Ed and Friends,

The Houston S Gaugers do actually operate our modules although on rare 
occassions.  Our DCC system will allow some of that to happen when the 
opportunity is available.  Unfortunately I've had to drag our club into 
DCC by the ears so at this time most of the guys are just happy to get 
things running.  To be sure if you don't operate on someone's  layout 
and don't use DCC often enough you forget the system.   What's worse is 
that some of our guys really don't want to learn DCC in the first 
place.  I think much of this is due to the fact that we have been 
builders and not operators for the most part.  One of the live steam 
clubs in the area had the same problems, they were getting bored so some 
HO guys who were into operations, talked them into switching etc. rather 
than just running in circles.  Face it running that big stuff can be 
pretty exciting when done right.
