Morning Bill,
For all that stuff in the drawers--sell it and let someone else keep it
in their drawers. When the fire in your smokebox goes out, why burdon
your family with all that stuff. They will understand the stuff on the
layout, but the stuff under the layout and in the closet?? Thats why
the NASG and the NMRA have those auctions. Ebay likewise. Of course it
always nice to bring home more than you sold--that's why Jamie gives out
beer!!
I had a friend come over to the house a few weeks ago to help me get my
RailOps program setup. One of the first things he said was--get about
1/3 of your cars off the layout! So I've started selling a few to make
room for the cars going into storage. When Pine Canyon introduced
their new downtown series, I bought a few that will replace some that I
built from H0 kits. I will be selling those at a local show in a few
months. I've enjoyed building them, they served a purpose and now they
can return some of the investment to pay for the new and better stuff.
