Ed, Jamie, Mark, Andy, everyone;
It has never been our custom to take money from an individual against a
future project. Some of this is not about the money, although obviously
some of it is. I was really pumped about the diaphrams once when S
Scale was on the cusp of a gaggle scale full length passenger cars.
That never happened and the diaphrams probably won't until they appear.
The X29 is on a back burner. Virtually all the tooling is done, except
the doors need to be retooled. A real sharp farmer found an error, so
that remains to be done. The real delay now is the reality of many,
many items are already in production in front of it. We got a run of
tank cars in November, The Evans cars showed up a couple weeks ago
(although one is being returned). Why even the Ohio guys got their
Timken cars. The newly arrived 48' and 53' containers have been
shipped and they are from new tooling. In 3 weeks or so we should see
the first ex PRS assembled cars from us in the form of ACF Centerflow
hoppers. Husky stacks are in production behind that, and ex PRS
reefers behind those and on and on. You get the idea. Even I get the
idea here.
I suppose after the weeked skewering I should update the website, no,
write kit instructions, no, fill parts backorders, no, finsh decal art,
no, ship Donnies order. I really love this.
Anyway, I guess there is no date yet on the X29. If Bill Lane comes
through on instructions, then maybe sooner. See, it's all his fault.
Last year was a pretty good year, although it started out a little
rocky. I suspect 2008 will be even better.
A healthy and prosperous New Year to you all.
Ron Sebastian
