One of my favorite quotations is on Consensus: The act of abandoning all
principles, policies, beliefs, values and faiths in search of something in
which no one really believes but to which no one vehemently objects. It is
from Margaret Thatcher's autobiography. I think if you asked any manufacturer
they would tell you that if they waited for a consensus they never would have
made anything. I know there was no consensus to do many of the (eventually)
successful brass projects RRM undertook!

Brian (et al) if you believe in this: quit talking, make a plan and execute it
- don't listen to the rest of us. It won't be the first time S has been
dragged kicking and screaming to a new level...

Oh, and while we are on quotations, the recent one attributed to brother Helms
was originally made by US Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart in 1964. Lots
of us borrow quotations to effective use...!

In Wisconsin - Home of brutal winters; today an ice storm on top of 56" of snow
in the last 4 weeks... Only good news is it's headed East!
