Tom, you might the first to do any modifications to any of those
engines. I have a UP version which needs a few changes also, but many
things are in front of that project.
I would think it would be a fairly simple matter to take the guts out of
the SHS tender and put them into the AF or AM tender. I have been into
the tender a few months ago and the layout was easy to follow (DCC
version). I would think building a non-metal floor for the AF tender
would be the only major thing to build. SHS could provide extra
trucks, brake detail and perhaps even extra electrical components should
you want to keep the original tender as is.
