I should have added in my last post that Ladd built a lot of
D&RGW stuff in S scale. It was all really very nice.I've noticed that
over the past year or so he has been selling a lot of it on eBay, This
is not so good. I have the feeling he is moving on to something else.
We need a lot more guys like him and we don't need to have them drift
away.
Wayne Hills was also a D&RGW S scaler. He is the one that put a
lot of effort into brass etchings to be used on AM streamlined
passenger cars to make up Rio Grande passenger equipment. At one time
he also had a line of decals available. I think he also has drifted
away. I wish I could go to Lowell. I would really like to meet up with
him again.
My motto is very simple. Just go build it!!
