Gents...

Remember those V&T Shop's cast resin (plastic?) SP flat car craftsman kits
full of details, etc.? Long gone and out of production much to the
consternation of rivet counting flat car enthusiasts everywhere. Then Keith
Wiseman (Wiseman Model Services) took over the V&T tooling and inventory and
has been re-issuing things on a fairly steady basis. Out of curiosity, I
inquired about the flat cars. His reply is below:

Hello Ed,
Will get to it soon hopefully. An idea of how many may have interest may
motivate us some more.
Keith

So if'n ya wanna influence the course of S events (I told ya it was easy
about six emails back), here is your chance. Give Keith an email and tell
him how many dozen you would like. I'm sure John Gibson will be first in
line followed quickly by several others. Here is the email address for
Keith:

A short mention of the advantages of a lightweight plastic flat car would
include the ability to carry a HEAVY load and have the total weight of the
car with load be not much different than a metal flat car all by it's
lonesome. A heavy load on a metal flat car is like REALLY heavy.
G-r-o-a-n......just thinking about it hurts. Then again, I am a "long
train" enthusiast and weight is important -- to me, at least. And that is
on the famous water level route. On mountains it becomes even worse.

Cheerfully for S.....Ed L.
