As you've seen by the emails, there has been lots of discussion of couplers.
So you know, I do have some 802s installed on some rolling stock, primarily for use on our club modules at regional shows. My reason for using the #5 at home: I had about 50 pair in the drawer when I changed over from HO. And since I had heard they were usable, I decided to. And it's also been mentioned about the various HO KD versions. I have used more then #5s in installations. They have an extended length shank which worked well in a double-headed pair of locomotives.
