It is a well known fact that many things are no longer made in the US
due to labor cost, as cheap labor out of the US is the key in setting
the price for goods sold in the US.
I really do not know much about the economy of China, but after Don
posted this, I heard on a NPR local talk show in Washington, DC on WAMU
radio, that things in time will be changing in China, as the people are
starting to catch on that they would like a better life style too. the
average per capital income in China on the west coast if 5,000 and
inland it is 1,000. There are labor strikes and wars starting in China
according to what I heard, so things will change in time.
But for now, hopefully these US train companies that are effected by
this recent move will find a new maker soon.
