Hello Michael... It is time for you and Jim Lyle to step up to the bar and place your orders for some 100% Made-in-America S scale rolling stock. Please check out the following link for details and color photos: http://www.x2011west.com/nasg.html#convcar As you will see, there are two different car kits and one custom load all of which are 100% made in America. The RTR cars do have trucks/couplers from a foreign land. But you can sell off the foreign-made trucks/couplers on eBay and then replace them with trucks and couplers made by American Models. Then you will have a RTR car which is 100% Made-in-America. Not only are the cars manufactured in America, but the tooling for said cars and all parts is also fully produced in America as well. Made in America by Americans without a doubt! And the kit prices are very competitive. In case you missed the fine print, the kits come fully painted and lettered. No need to buy paint or decals. Kadee couplers are made in Oregon to the best of my knowledge. Now then.....down to the basic economics of things: These cars have been previously mentioned many times on this List. Jim Lyle of Five Gold Stripes fame has also bemoaned the lack of American-manufactured rolling stock and was referred to the above link quite some time ago. Have either of you actually placed an order? Not to kick a dead horse, but if this initial project is successful (with your help), I can almost assure you that there will be more Made-in-America S scale stuff released in the future from this new-to-S company. If this project is not a success, the Made-in-America future will not be as bright. The bartender awaits your order. Time now to belly-up to the bar. I rest my case. Talk is cheap. Money counts. Cheers...Ed L. ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
