SHABBONA RR has initiated new business in conjunction with M&StL. Bulk Portland
Cement from Mason City, IA, is shipped via M&StL, in M&StL covered hoppers,
from Mason City to Oskaloosa, IA, interchanged to SHABBONA, then to Keokuk for
interchange with connecting roads TP&W and/or WABASH for delivery to customers
on those routes.
SHABBONA RR is exited about this new business and hopes to see it expand in the
future as both ROCK ISLAND and M&StL and receivers of Portland cement discover
the benefits of routing Portland cement via the Keokuk gateway.
