I am close to laying roadbed before laying flextrack and turnouts. I have
always heard that the homosote roadbed should be painted with latex paint
to avoid absorption of water in the air. If I lay the roadbed first, and
then paint it before laying down the track, the underside will not be
painted but it will be protected somewhat by being glued down on the plywood.
Or
is it best if I come up with a way to apply the latex paint to the
underside of the roadbed? This would seem to be easy for the straight
sections
but a little more complicated for curved sections. Any suggestions on this
topic would be appreciated.
