Gentlemen...

Just for your information, there are a total of six S layouts now approved
for display at the National Train Show. Some are exquisite narrow gauge,
some are scale standard gauge, some are hi-rail (AF compatible) and one
layout is a genuine A.C.Gilbert-built department store layout from the
mid-1950s. It has been preserved and maintained over the past 60 years and
will be running complete with many operating accessories. Clubs from San
Diego, Walnut Creek, Boise, ID and elsewhere are loading up their trailers
and getting ready for the haul to Sacramento. All of this is in addition to
three of the finest S scale layouts in the northern California region on one
S-only bus tour.

These six S layouts outnumber the layouts in any scale except for HO. More
S than O or N by far. Quite an accomplishment, I would say. Has this ever
happened before?

Two hotels have been sold out and a third one is now accepting reservations.
Registration is over 1,200 and expectations are for over 1,400 plus local
walk-ins without advance registration. To put it mildly this will be a BIG
event. Train saturation is assured.

Click below for convention information and pay particular attention to the
NASG Banquet on Saturday night. For less than the cost of one new Flyonel
box car, you will have an unforgettable experience of your model railroading
lifetime. Get ready for some fun... Don't worry about the gorilla, he only
plays the banjo.
