All,

Now that the S Scale Container project is a go, I am taking the updates and
communication direct to those that are interested and off the S Lists. If
you have contacted me directly, or as in a few cases posted to the S list in
the past few days and committed to an order you should have gotten a
confirmation email from me directly. If you did not - please contact me
again. I think I got everyone, but yesterday was crazy.

Some people are calling them "PRR containers". They are not decorated. You
can have your way with them! Stan was not a PRR modeler. What he used as a
guide or prototype to make the master is not known to me.

Here is a repeat of some of the info - with a few changes made.

Notably missing from the S world are nice LCL containers for gondolas and
possibly flat car loads. This is the container I am having made
http://www.lanestrains.com/S_Scale_Container.jpg It measures 1.5" high x
1.3" wide x .75" deep. The master was made by Stan Furmanak. 2 containers
can easily sit side by side in an American Models or American Flyer Gondola.
http://www.lanestrains.com/AF_Gondola_with_Containers.jpg (Shown with all
the containers I currently have. 12 containers fit in the American Flyer
Gondola PERFECTLY!)

This is an excellent way to add weight to your light cars as a load and fill
a LCL transfer yard at the same time. They will be solid urethane and
unpainted. The actual color they will be is not known to me at this time. **
I am trying to get them molded in an Oxide Red or boxcar red color.** The
lifting hooks on top will be repaired before getting them cast. I can
guarantee a flat bottom - essentially they will be ready to paint and use as
received from me.

This will be a non-stocking project. I am pretty much ordering to be made
what is ordered from me. You could call it a onetime offer. Payment in full
in advance will be due when I contact you and ask for it.

I am selling them at $40.00 each for a set of 10 containers plus the
shipping carrier of your choice. That is the way I would really prefer to
sell them as it keeps things simple. Estimated time for delivery is 2-3
months.

>>Please reply directly with your interest or questions.<<

Thank You,
Bill Lane
