I am not an expert on freight cars though I have been studying them a
little more lately. But I think the AM boxcar is probably the best choice for
this car decoration.

I once tried to get Don Thompson to offer the SHS rebuilt boxcars in the
yellow striped scheme. Don had already studied the issue. He declined to
do the NC&StL car because NC&StL never had any 40 foot rebuilt boxcars in
this scheme. They did have 36 foot rebuilt boxcars. Later NC&StL received a
large order of new 40 foot boxcars with the yellow stripe. I think the
AM 40 foot boxcar is as close to perfect a choice as is possible.

Rob Sebastian could speak to this issue but I have been told that the 40
foot boxcars from the former PRS line are not available right now for such a
project.

The NASG text says it's an AM car, the photo is of an HO Intermountain car,
and appears to have come from an Ebay auction (searching Google images
turns up the exact photo).

If it is a AM car, it will have different ends and roof as well as
details. This should be clearly stated on the convention car page...
