Ken,

Sounds like you guys jsut west of Minneapolis have a great time together. When
I get my Chicago Great Western "Mill Cities Limited" together, I want to bring
it up and run it on one of your layouts. Maybe even on Steve Doyle's if he
allows and the walls don't fall down.

Tom

Subject: {S-Scale List} say it aint so Mr. ed

Penguins and Polar Bears are not in the same place and don't get along? How
can that be I saw on TV a baby penguin slides downhill and a polar bear give
him a Coke. Sometimes I think I am just too gullible. Oh well.

Hey, today I met Ron Kemp at Steve Doyle's house and we punched a couple of
holes in concrete walls. Seems Mr. Doyle has bought more trains and is running
out of space to put track to put trains. I wonder if we are not close to doing
structural damage to the supporting walls but he is the boss, he says hole here
and we punch it out. Interesting about all of this is that he actually now has
a couple of new places to put track work that could add some great operational
flexibility. Plus of course getting the California Zephyr off the mainlines
lets him run other trains.

Well as much as it would be fun to work on the layout, tonight I am going out
with Marilyn, a little culture if you will. I told her that is why I eat
yogurt, to get active culture. Doesn't seem to exactly cut it. This is
serious, I even need to shower, it has gotten cold and I thought I could put
that off until May or so.

Sorry to interrupt the current string of angst, hope you all have a great week.
My thanks to Don and Mike for working so hard to keep SHS alive, to the Ron
brothers for all they do, to Billy, Bob and all the other folks who serve our
scale. I still find there is more available than I could buy anyway. Then
there is all the stuff hiding below the layout that I forgot I already bought
but I am sure I needed at the time if not now.
