I heard  some stories when I worked at the Austin Co.  They built the new 
(then) plant in eastern Pennsylvania.  I got to build a model of it for our 
FORTUNE Magazine ad.     Had fun & got paid.

  Talking about Mack, ask Frank Titman, he built them and even at times
  modified them for the Mack Co.

  Example; They were putting together a new Mack body and Frank told the
  engineers the one part wouldn't fit or work. They ignored him and darned if
  they couldn't complete the project because the part Frank pointed out to
  them wouldn't fit. Too bad Frank can't tell those stories any more, he could
  tell you all about the &^%$*&%^# Mack Co. LOL!
