If there is no additional cost, I hope everyone will send in for the scale  
wheels.  The resale value of the locomotives will be greater if scale  
wheels come with them.  So we need to encourage the highrailers to send in  for 
the scale wheels even if they will not use them.  
 
One rub with the way the U33C is being marketed is the disconnect between  
scale wheels and TMCC.  There is no reason that a scaler cannot use  TMCC.  
The problem is that nearly all scalers use straight DC or DCC.   As 
mentioned previously, this requires gutting the units of expensive electronic  
components.  
 
It looks to me that this is a really nice locomotive.  Too bad it is  not 
offered straight DC for a reduced price.  By not offering this,  Lionel may 
be hurting its sale and may be getting a false reading on the demand  for 
scale equipment.

I think you are making mountains out of mole hills. Nothing was said about  
buying scale wheels but to send a copy of the sales receipt to get them and 
at  the end of January. Sounds to me like they didn't have them ready and 
they  sent the locomotives without them.
