Just got up from the basement where I have been preparing for the last PPSSW
meeting of the year. Last week a few guys came over and when they left, I had
a long task list. I selected the task of installing more lighting in the back
layout room. This was a pretty big task but one that would be nice to get out
of the way before the guys came over. The tasks left were also ones I could
more easily share.
Let me offer my endorsement for the quality of the River Raisin Turbines. I
had a set and they were great runners and strong pullers. Having a Granger
railroad, this engine wouldn't fit in but when they came out, I just had to
have one. That is the same thing with my Zephyr, it was such a nice model I
needed one. It was fun to run around for a while but now it is a display
piece.
Anyone put their hands on the Model Tech octanglular phone booth? It looks
like what the Northern Pacific used so I am interested in what they really are.
Thanks for any insights.
Gotta go, guests coming, need to prepare.
Ken
