Tom, I guess the question I would ask--how do they compare with American
Models diesel wheels, which I thought were #125 also.

The wheels appear by dial caliper to be exactly 1/8 inch wide, which
is 0.125 inch, for a "code" 125 or 8 scale inch width. A standard RR
wheel has a width of 5½ - 5¾ inches, so Lionel is close enough for me.
