When did you go down to NZ ?    I was there with the Second Marine Division in 
1943.  They gave free Pacific tours in those days.  Rode the Rimatucka then. 
Did not make it to South Island though.
Chris Borgmeyer is another S Scale NZ visitor.

  Ah, Invercargill, home of the world's fastest Indian motorcycle.  


  When I visited NZ, I only got as far south as Dunedin which has the most 
fantastic looking railway station I've ever seen.  Also rode the Taieri Gorge 
railway which has to be the scenic equivalent of the Cumbres and Toltec in 
North America.  I wanted to get a little further south to ride the Kingston 
Flyer?, but time did not permit.  You have some great railways down there.
