Hi Bob;

I've been intermittently searching for a replacement dome man-way cover. Leads 
were for Precision Scale (from Bob Winnans) and Iron Mountain, but I have not 
tracked down a suitable part yet. The two vents on the SSA dome top are not 
bad, and if you sand off the remaining parts and add a man-way and cover (a 
standard AAR part, by the way) the results would be very good. The AF dome 
cover is not any better than the SSA part.

Here is Tony Thompson's blog entry on modifying the Walthers' HO car -  he used 
an earlier style man-way cover.
