More than a couple of years ago, I was photographing Frank Titman's fine
layout in Pennsylvania. I had flown in and out of Newark and arranged
to spend a day with the Thompsons--they put me up for two nights. We
had a great day railfanning with Vic, Howie, and of course, Don. We
came back to a home cooked meal that Robin put together with Howie's
help I think. I wonder if the Mike's Train house folks would do that?
That's something that certainly will change--personal friendships and
great service.

Don Thompson and and Mike Ferraro deserve a hearty hip-hip-hurrah and

But, the $164,000.00 question is what happens with American Models and
S Scale America through all this? They will surely benefit from
increased interest in S, but will they remain independant? Would they
want to remain independant? The future's a little cloudy here. We'll
have to wait and see.
Still, it's a good time to be in S.
