Hello Lab Rat.....

If you really want that Mo Pac F-3 lashup, I would suggest you pick up the
telephone and call MTH and lodge your request with them. The folks reading
these Yahoo emails cannot make that loco for you, but the guys at MTH can
make that decision in a heartbeat if they perceive some consumer interest.
Why not help them with their perceptions?

I am starting to recall the days when Lionel first announced their scale GE
U33C loco and everyone in town poo-pooed their efforts before even seeing
the first one off the production line. Now MTH has bought into the S
gauge/scale market and the poo-pooers are already back at it again after
just one press release. Human nature never ceases to amaze me.

Lionel has now a separate S gauge 2012 catalog, scale wheels are available
on many new products, new scale locomotives (both steam and diesel) have
been announced and the phraseology "Scale Flyer" has crept into their
lexicon. Is this all bad? And their 2013 catalog is not far away.....(I
think). I might even get a scale NYC SD70ACe which is something I never
even knew I wanted. So what's to complain about?

"S"miling for friends Don and Mike who are undoubtedly happy as clams for
unloading a huge monkey off their backs. I just hope the deal was good
enough for them to pay off all debts and pocket enough profit to build a
huge S scale layout. Working on stuff for themselves is something they have
sacrificed over the past years while making stuff for the rest of us. They
have earned their retirement more than most.

Cheers....Ed L.
