Howdy Ed,
I realize that no one on this list will be making the lash up, only seeing
if anyone knew of a fellow modeler or shop in their area that might have the
set for sell. Not trying the be a "poo-pooer", I know MTH makes quality O
scale models and if they are using SHS tooling then they should be making
quality S scale models. I'm just concerned about prototypical paint schemes
for the road I model. With SHS I knew the MoPac schemes were correct. Based
off my experience with MTH O scale in the past I have seen a lot of fictional
Missouri Pacific paint jobs produced. If I wanted a Eagle Merchandise Service
hopper or a blue M.P. caboose I would not be a S scaler, I would be a toy train
collector. You can believe I will be writing MTH for MoPac in S scale. I know
that companies do not make products if there is no demand. UP, Santa Fe, BNSF,
CSX, Pennsy, and NS models will always be made but the mid-west roads are often
over looked. Join me in letting MTH know that there is also interest in other
roads such as the Missouri Pacific, D&RGW, FRISCO, KATY, KCS, Wabash, etc.
