Tried that. The princess did not like the competition, AND (S content) I had to build a cat gate (photo) to keep the second cat from carting of all my scenery materials and small parts as "toys"... I originally used Velcro to keep the gate closed, but the little rascal learned how to open that. Now it has a dead bolt to hold it closed, but that makes our guests a bit uncomfortable because it can't be reached from the guest room side. <grin> Anyhow, the gate worked because the little darlin' couldn't get a running start on the stairs for a big enough jump.
