Bill,

Exactly, in a heartbeat everyone on this list could suggest his favorite
locomotive for each of the two firms to produce. Possibilities: ALCO DL600,
DL702, EMD E-7 or E-6, BALDWIN DRS 6-6-15. Plenty of prototypes out there to
copy.

Subject: {S-Scale List} competition - friendly or not

Earl,

Again all conjecture right now…. but if MTH & Lionel were to come out with new
locomotives each at the same time why would you want them to be the SAME
locomotive? The rumor mill churned up that MTH is looking at the SD70 when
Lionel announced it earlier this year. I would prefer 2 new and different items.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
