Hello Rachel.....

I do not know about the Michigan club's modular layout, but I do know the S Sig
at www.sscale.org has prepared a thorough article about S scale track products.
You can find it by going to their home page and clicking on the "Products" tab
and then clicking on the "Trackwork" tab. By doing that, you will end up at:

http://sscale.org/s-scale-resources/s-scale-track-products/

The problem with picking track products is that the skills and expectations of
the individual modeler tend to dictate which products they like the best.
There is no one best product line that everyone loves. Each of the products
has its own set of pros and cons. The trick is to learn of these pros and cons
and then pick whatever appeals to you the most.

Hopefully, the article by well-known trackwork expert Dick Karnes will enable
some objective comparisons since he has identfied many pros/cons for the
various products.

Please read the article and feel free to ask additional questions on the S Sig
Forum (free!) or here. Good luck.

Hope this helps.....Ed L.
Coordinator of www.sscale.org
