As Ross Perot used to say: "The details make the difference." Or, as I like to
say, "Spelling counts!" Now we can start to make some progress in the forward

There is always an answer to confusion. Just have to look hard for it at times.
Your choice of scale wheels with scale track and scale turnouts (Fast Tracks or
other) using NMRA-compliant DCC (NCE is my favorite) is a good decision. The
only concern I might have is regarding the difficulty of building your own
turnouts rather than using one of the almost-RTR versions of track switches.
Fast Tracks fixtures will allow you to build an excellent turnout assuming you
can cut, file, grind, solder, spike, etc. Given that, you are on a good track.
