Add fine leads between parts We did it in industry.
Are you furnishing gloves for the brakemen?

Subject: {S-Scale List} grab iron update [1 Attachment]

[Attachment(s) from Bill Lane included below]

I got a surprise box in the mail today with some test shots of the grab
irons. I say it was a surprise because as of about a week + ago it was in
question if they could be cast at all so this is a plus. My caster made it
happen like he always does.

Since it was such a difficult pattern to cast he did not get complete shots.
The average yield of complete grabs was about 10. As you can see at left they
will have to be straightened a bit when you get them but I did NOT break any in
the 30+ I straightened so far.

In the ONE grab iron I tested on an unassembled PRS car it appears the pins
do not slide in the mounting holes liked I had hoped in spite of my best
efforts. But the holes in the car are covered when you are done. You can us one
pin in the hole on one end and surface glue on the other. Just being honest
here guys.. Of course if you want these for use on brass cars none of that
matters. File the brackets flat and surface solder them on.

I only have 5 test shots for now in hand. This is a one and done project. I
am not stocking any of them to sell in 6 months from now other than a few for
my own private stash.

Since they are not complete shots I have to adjust the price accordingly. I
get changed the same price for all no matter how many grabs are complete - and
so will you. If there are 8 complete grab irons or 14 (I do have 1 like that)
they are the same price - $10.00 a tree plus a flat fee of $5.00 shipping per
order via USPS without insurance or tracking. I am not going to count complete
grab irons to make an order complete at $1.00 each but I will guarantee at
least 8 good grabs per tree.

This was an S list "by popular demand" project. Sorry it did not go exactly
as I hoped but I tried and will deliver the parts in a timely manner. I will
give it a few weeks for everyone to get their orders placed and then place my
casting order quantity. Hopefully in about a month I will have the order back
ready to ship.

I am taking orders and payments NOW. Only orders paid in full will be counted
in the production order. Email me directly if you want to use PayPal.
