SSA makes some of their own stuff and also acquires stuff from other "down&out"
manufacturers. In this case, the PRS trucks were designed, tooled and
orginally manufactured under the directiion of John Verser and Jerry Porter.
Some of the other SSA products were designed, tooled and manufactured by
completely different folks -- like Larry Jackman. And, I suspect, the various
prototypes had different types of trucks and so, naturally, the model will also
have different types of trucks. Since all these products were made at
different times by different people, the random chances of standardization are
quite remote.
Standardization in S sure would be nice, but it just isn't here yet.
