When I found out MTH had purchased SHS last year I "liked" their Facebook page.
MTH usually will announce new products and arrival times via their company web
page and their Facebook page. It is a great way to contact the company, find
out information, and to request a certain model to be made. If enough people
request the same model then it is seriously looked at. In my experience if you
post a question it is answered within the next couple of hours or the next day.

Last november they announced that their new S scale catalog would be out the
beginning of December. Then it was moved to mid December to end of December to
mid January to the beginning of February with an online catalog by mid
February. I contacted them the beginning of Feb to see what the deal was.

Here is what the company rep posted back to me: "The catalog is as far as I
know done and we are just waiting on "upper management" is the only way I could
describe the current delay. We know you all are looking forward to the new
catalog, and new S Gauge product from MTH. These will be MTH's first S Gauge
product and that is what it will be a start. It will not be like an O Gauge
catalog which MTH has been making for thirty plus years. The 2013 S Gauge
catalog is a small catalog. All the items are reflective of what MTH makes in
HO and Premier O Gauge Lines meaning prototype scale cars. Although there is a
Christmas box car. S Gauge is a completely new line for MTH and we are sorry
for the catalog delays. It is almost certain that when one company takes over
another companies product delays like this are going to happen now and in the
future. I think what the S Gauge customer is really looking for is not a
catalog with pictures, but the actual product and MTH is currently working on
both. I believe after we get past this first catalog and deliver our first S
Gauge products that all will be forgiven. Very sorry for the ugly start, but we
hope to finish beautifully. Thank you for the post Mr Henley."

So for now it's more of the waiting game, which is fine because it gives me
more time to save up the money for hopefully more Missouri Pacific S scale
models. I was affraid I was going to be seeing Eagle Merchandise Service paint
schemes on hoppers, tank cars, and modern boxcars in S scale because these
fictitious car appear in their O scale line.Glad to see they will be keeping
with SHS's scale dedication. Now if the will only remake the MoPac F7 A-B-B-A
set as I miss the opportunity to buy aset from SHS. The sold out before I
could save up enough of my combat pay the last time I was in Iraq. :(
