Hi Bill – Good to hear about your success with the turnout.
My contribution to the FNF thread is that I spent much of my time this week decaling passenger cars. I have about half of the fleet done now. It sure is tedious work, but the results make it fun. On the coupler discussion – I was going through my 1941 Car Builders Cyclopedia looking for lettering info on heavyweight passenger cars when I came across the information on type E couplers. They do, in fact, have 11” knuckles, but the head is larger than that. I will continue to use my Kadee 802/808s also... Have fun! Bill Winans --------------------------- I use Kadee 802's and do have a box full of the Walthers couplers and SHS couplers as well, but I try to stay with Kadee 802's. Regarding my FNF; Today I tackled a tough section of track to rebuild and it has a RH # 6 switch built into it. It is in a very remote area and I really should have a helper when working in there. But amazingly, it went well with only a minor gauge correction and cleaning up the of the area. The switch had developed some slope in it, and once that was corrected it went well. Bill (FRaley)
