The reason for the Budd Buddies name is that the Budd Buddies were the
instigators for having a Budd truck produced. DPH obtained the molds after
Larry Jackman excused himself from the project. Larry Jackman told the Budd
Buddies the wheelbase used was the most common. The main exception, according
to him, was that the UP had a wider wheelbase. Right or wrong, I have no idea.
Mr. Jackman made them and cannot answer questions right now. Cheers...Ed
