I just spent a little time at Hobby Lobby getting some supplies. Based on an e-mail exchange I had with someone on the "64 Vintage Vehicles" mailing list, I looked into the 1:72 figure sets that H.L. carries. I splurged and got the $9.99 set called "American Western Settlers + Conestoga Wagon". When I got home I took my trusty ruler to the figures, and all standing figures come in at about 5'3" to 6'0" (with hats) using the S-scale ruler. The horses in the set are just under 7 feet tall. The large cows stand 4 feet tall and the pigs are about 2'9". There are men and women doing all sorts of work, and a few kids playing in the set. Here's the manufacturer's web site:

My interest in the 1:72 figures was to see if I could kitbash some of them into becoming drivers and passengers in my vehicles.

Enjoy,
 - Peter.
