Being new to the group, thought I'd post a "hi." I'm contemplating switching
from N scale to S and have several questions.
I'm interested in modeling the MKT in the 80's. I bought some PRS 50' boxcar
kits to assemble and specifically paint for the MKT, but I am having difficulty
finding decals. Herald King makes some perfect ones in HO, but I have yet to
find any in S. If worse comes to worse, I can use lettering from alphabet sets
for the reporting marks and car numbers, but I haven't found yellow dimensional
data for boxcars. I've even checked the links to decal manufacturers provided
by the group with no luck.
Would using the HO decals for S look too small?
Would O dim data be too large?
I've used the end reporting marks from HO decals for the sides of N scale cars
which worked out just fine for N. Would using O scale end reporting marks for
S scale car sides work?
Anybody in the group with any insight into bashing decals together?
