Perhaps Jeff Wilson is the only person I could think of **on this list**
that could qualify for being a MTH dealer. At last I knew MTH and Lionel
were 100% mandatory for having a storefront brick n mortar building. You can
do internet sales but have to prove you are not a basement or car
trunk/train show dealer only. Jeff's location does not bode well for casual
pedestrian traffic. 

 

Further I don't think you could "cherry pick" lines by just carrying S. MTH
wants a dealer to push all scales. I can understand the MTH philosophy of
being all in. But for Jeff to only be interested in S but be a deterrent to
have to carry all scales... 

 

That was the perfect storm locally. A long established MTH and Lionel dealer
train store was closing for retirement. Instead of going out of business
they merged with a long established internet seller. I got a pretty good new
train store 3 miles from here open this past winter.
