If you have been around here for a while, you might remember me occasionally mentioning my friend Gus Minardi. We have been friends for about 25 years now and was in my wedding. I say I play with trains - but Gus is a modeler! Trains, trucks, airplanes, buildings - Gus does it all. For all the 25 years I have been trying to get him into S Scale from his "H"ow "O"rdinary scale.
I am lucky enough to have him make some things for me when the stars align properly. They get done when they get done and only as the mood hits. Gus built my REA building. http://www.lanestrains.com/My_Layout_Page_2.htm As you can see from the photos his work is far from ordinary. They are the old Aurora trucks "Gussified". Gus has never been to Steamtown so he is coming with us! Gus is finally a member of the NASG as well! I doubt it is ongoing but this is one off the bucket list. Gus is an S Scaler for a weekend. He will be rooming with Dan & I so say hi.. You may recognize the man behind the sunglasses on the Durbin Rocket Caboose. This was my bachelor weekend 11 years ago of riding trains with good friends.
