boB,

I'm sure Fred will deliver some good product for you.

From what I can tell, and I still have several modern style cars with the Ace RB trucks/wheels they also had a good product if you can live with the steel wheels being sucked toward the uncoupling magnets. However, remember they made two different sizes (33 & 36), in plastic and steel, blunt and needle point axles and finally scale or hi-rail flanges. So the choices become too much in our scale--way too many.

I just bit the bullet and ordered some wheelsets from Fred Rouse. That should serve my future needs for a while. What we need is for the NASG to make a run of the old Ace steel wheelsets. Tey're always looking for something to do that won't compete with the manufacturers and I'm sure this wouldn't. They wouldn't have to be something exotic, either, just a basic wheelset like the Ace.

I'm curious about the AM truck springs on an FA. Was the size close to correct?
