boB! Thanks for the welcome! Good to see you're still kickin' n' swattin' flies! SOOO much better to be lookin' down on the grass instead of up at it.
You done said: "About to lose your beloved ALCO's and need another source of diversion, eh." Ah, the A&M and its Alco's: The old chugs are safe for the foreseeable future. They'll power all switch jobs and locals, as well as being in-consist with the new ones as needed. "I wish we were closer together, I think between us we could make your little KC switching layout really swing." Now that would indeed be the hoot of all hoots. I think you would enjoy operations on my little West Bottoms layout, and I KNOW I would enjoy operating on your Shabbona RR. Why don't you sell your home and move to the Sunbelt? :-) On second thought... can you imagine what a mess we could make of 12th St. Yard? TWO Engineers making the switch moves? You KNOW what those "high n' mighty" type Conductors would think of that! Speaking of an S scale 4-4-0... have you been able to view a Bachmann On30 4-4-0 up close to see if it could crossover to S scale? Andre Ming
