A few years back I obtained a complete set of builders plans for the
latest contemporary reefers (looks like a mobile home on a flat to some
degree). One of the engineers on the project was a good friend and
modeler. I sent them on to a individual who, to my knowledge, has never
used them.
If that car would have been introduced in S scale at that time, it would
have put S ahead of the other scales for the modern modeler. However
the businessman in me also says--what a risk, would I even sell two dozen?
A great modeler by the name of Ladd Hudda (who made up the original
passenger car appliances that the Supply car sold) made a bunch of
interesting models including a large/tall auto parts car of some kind
and several other contemporary models. I haven't seen them in years but
they certainly sold me on his modeling skills!

I completely forgot about the husky stacks and coal porters. I also
has helping Jim King with the Reefer and completely forgot about that
as well. However, that's nowhere near enough to model today. There
isn't even a 50' or 60' high cube box. Those are also needed. I am
continuing to push for these things, but more need to get active in
contacting the manufacturers.
